Valuefocus Terms of Use

1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the Valuefocus website and services. “Valuefocus,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of those services. For the iOS app, the application provider is identified on the Valuefocus App Store product page. By using Valuefocus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services. You must be legally able to enter into these terms, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
2. Apple App Store license
For the Valuefocus app obtained through the Apple App Store, the license to the app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA):

These terms supplement the Standard EULA by describing the use of Valuefocus services and subscriptions. They do not replace the Standard EULA or limit rights granted by it. If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA concerning the license to the iOS app, the Standard EULA controls. Apple’s applicable purchase terms govern transactions processed by Apple.
3. Research and education; no investment advice
Valuefocus provides tools for research, education, journaling, and reflection on investment decisions. Content, data, analyses, valuations, examples, and AI-generated responses are for general informational and educational purposes. They are not personalized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, an offer or solicitation, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other financial product.
Using Valuefocus does not establish an investment advisory or fiduciary relationship. Content may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or out of date. AI-generated responses may contain errors, including incorrect calculations or references. Independently check important information and seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional when needed. You are responsible for your own decisions. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
4. Accounts and acceptable use
If you create an account, provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Use Valuefocus lawfully. Do not infringe another person’s rights, upload content you are not entitled to use, distribute malicious software, bypass access controls or payment restrictions, disrupt the services, or obtain unauthorized access to accounts or systems. Do not copy or redistribute Valuefocus or third-party content beyond what applicable licenses or law permit.
5. Valuefocus Pro subscriptions
Valuefocus offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store, including Pro Monthly (one month) and Pro Yearly (one year). A subscription provides access to the Pro features and any usage allowances described on the subscription screen at the time of purchase. Review that screen before subscribing.
Prices and availability may vary by country or region. The subscription screen and Apple purchase confirmation display the applicable plan, subscription period, price, and any offer terms before you confirm a purchase. The amount shown by Apple at checkout is the amount you authorize. An annual plan is billed for the annual period, even if a monthly equivalent is also shown for comparison.
Payment for a paid subscription is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If a free trial or other introductory offer is available and you are eligible, the timing and amount of payment are as shown in that offer.
Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods unless canceled before renewal. Apple may charge for renewal during the 24 hours before the next subscription period begins. To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. If a free trial is offered, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. After a trial or introductory offer, the subscription renews at the price disclosed in the offer unless canceled.
You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription on your iPhone or iPad in Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Valuefocus, or through Apple’s subscription management page:

For a paid subscription, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and you normally retain access until that period ends. Trial cancellation, refunds, plan changes, and any country-specific exceptions are handled under Apple’s applicable terms and law. Deleting the app or your Valuefocus account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it separately through Apple.
If subscription pricing changes, Apple’s applicable notification and consent rules apply. We will not use changes to these terms to remove subscription benefits already purchased for the current paid period, except as required by law or to address misuse, and subject to applicable consumer rights.
6. Refunds and purchase support
Apple processes App Store purchases. To request a refund for an Apple purchase, visit:

Refund eligibility and decisions are governed by Apple’s applicable policies and consumer law. Canceling a subscription does not itself request or guarantee a refund. Nothing in these terms excludes any mandatory right to a refund, remedy, or cancellation. For help with Valuefocus subscription access, contact oscar@valuefocus.io.
7. Your content and intellectual property
You retain the rights you hold in the content you submit to Valuefocus. You grant us permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to provide the services you use, consistent with our Privacy Policy and your settings. These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Valuefocus software, branding, and original service content belong to their respective owners. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses. Access to a subscription does not transfer ownership of those materials.

These terms do not replace any separate disclosure or consent required for processing or sharing personal information.
9. Availability and account restrictions
We may update Valuefocus to improve or maintain the services. Availability can be affected by maintenance, connectivity, technical issues, and third-party providers. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, security risks, fraud, or legal requirements. Where practicable, we will explain the restriction and provide a way to contact us. Any restriction remains subject to applicable consumer rights and obligations relating to subscriptions already paid for. Account suspension or deletion does not automatically stop billing by Apple.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Valuefocus services and information are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy of research or AI outputs, the performance of investments, or that the services will meet every user’s needs.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for investment losses or indirect or consequential damages arising from reliance on Valuefocus information. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer guarantees and rights. The Standard EULA governs warranties and liability relating to the license to the iOS app.
11. Changes and applicable rights
We may update these terms and will show the revised date on this page. Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect. Changes will not retroactively remove rights relating to purchases already made. Mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to you remain in effect. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
