2026 AI Infrastructure Capex Ranking

Companies rarely disclose AI-only spending. For comparability, this table uses total capex guidance or annualized estimates, including data centers, compute, networking and some non-AI investment.

What the leaderboard tells investors

  • LSEG consensus for the five companies rose from about $485B in January to roughly $730B in July.
  • At the current trajectory, their combined capex could exceed combined free cash flow in 2027.
  • From 2025–2027, every $1 of incremental operating cash flow is expected to require about $1.57 of incremental capex.

Methodology and limitations

  1. Use the latest company annual guidance first; where unavailable, use public annualized estimates from LSEG, Goldman Sachs or equivalent sources.
  2. Rank ranges by midpoint. The headline total uses Reuters-cited LSEG consensus, so it does not equal a simple sum of table midpoints.
  3. Capex is not the same as pure AI spending. Amazon includes logistics investment; peers include offices, networks and general cloud infrastructure.
  4. Review earnings releases, calls and trusted reporting monthly, with interim updates after material guidance changes.
